Over €5k raised for Ronald McDonald House
Customers of McDonald’s Restaurant in Gladstone Street have raised a whopping €5,316 in aid of the Ronald McDonald House in Crumlin, Dublin, which provides a home away from home for parenst and children who have to spend time at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital.
The staff of McDonalds in Clonmel would like to thank all their customers for their very generous donations in 2011 towards, through the counter collection boxes. All of this money goes towards the running of the Ronald McDonald Houses in Our Lady’s Hospital, Crumlin. The wonderful facilities in the Ronald McDonald House provide accommodation and support to families whose children are seriously ill in the hospital. The larger house is on the main grounds of the hospital while the other smaller house is a short walk across the road. Families are welcome to stay for a few days, several weeks or sometimes even months. So far, since the house first opened, 76 families from Tipperary have availed of the accommodation.
“With your support we can continue to make things a little better for seriously ill children and their families. So from them and us, thank you,” the staff at McDonalds said in a statement.
