Over €5k raised for Ronald McDonald House

Customers of McDonald’s Restaurant in Gladstone Street have raised a whopping €5,316 in aid of the Ronald McDonald House in Crumlin, Dublin, which provides a home away from home for parenst and children who have to spend time at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital.

Barracks Daffodil Day launch for the last time

Kickham Barracks will host the annual launch of Daffodil Day in Clonmel this Saturday, for what will be the very last time, before the barracks is expected to close next month. For the past eight years the Clonmel branch of Daffodil Day have been welcomed into the barracks to kick-start the countdown to the annual Daffodil Day fundraiser which takes place this year on March 23, and which raises significant funds for the Irish Cancer Society. This Saturday’s event will also be very special because it marks the 25th anniversary of Daffodil Day. Agnes O’Donoghue, chairperson of the Clonmel Branch of Daffodil Day said that this Saturday will be a very special occasion.
