Chamber to launch new jobs website

Clonmel Chamber of Commerce plans to become the first Chamber in Ireland to launch a jobs website dedicated to providing information regarding vacancies in their local area.

The site, clonmeljobs.ie, will launch in the coming weeks and will feature jobs from Chamber members in the town.

“Our members employ almost 10,000 people between them in Clonmel and the wider South Tipperary area. Over the last number of years we have had a strategy of highlighting the vacancies that these companies have on our clonmelchamber.com website. However we felt that the Chamber website may not have been the most obvious site for a jobseeker to visit. That is why we decided to launch clonmeljobs.ie,” said Chamber CEO Brian Cleary.

Clonmel Chamber is the largest business group in South Tipperary and has been in existence since 1925. At present the business group is running a highly successful ‘Shop in Clonmel’ campaign that highlights the importance of spending locally as a means of supporting local jobs.

“Our members represent companies of every size and in every stage of development. What we want to do is to offer them the chance to promote any vacancies that they may have via our new jobs site. It’s an additional recruitment platform for them to use free of charge and it gives local jobseekers an additional avenue to explore in the job hunting process,” he added.

Companies wishing to place positions on the new clonmeljobs.ie website should contact Brian Cleary on 052 6126500.
