Students battle it out for Clonmel’s Got talent
More than 120 primary school children took to the stage of the White Memorial for the preliminary rounds of ‘Clonmel’s Got Talent’, for a great weekend of ceol agus craic.
With the unenviable task of choosing who would go forward to the next stage were judges Keith Greene, Sheena Nix and Marie Fennessey, and by now all entrants will have received a letter in the post to tell them if they have been chosen, as the battle is well and truly on to see who will be crowned overall winner.
Over the next three Saturday nights - February 18, February 25 and March 3, Secondary School students from the High School, Loreto, Presentation, and Rockwell along with Primary School students will perform in front of a panel of five judges.
Each night promises incredible entertainment and on the third night (March 3) the acts that have secured a place in the Grand Finale on March 10, will be announced. The venue for all the rounds is the White Memorial and doors open each night at 7pm with an entry fee of €5
